This session blends Qigong, meditation, and Taoist sound practices, guided through an intuitive and experiential approach

The Taoist Way of Discovery - Not Intellectual, but Experiential

In ancient Taoist practice, especially in early forms of Qigong and Daoist inner alchemy, knowledge didn't come from theory first. It came from:

  • Deep meditation
  • Observing nature
  • Listening inwardly to the body

The Taoists would sit for long periods of time and feel:

  • Where energy was blocked
  • How organs responded to breath
  • What happened when certain tones were made

With time and practice they noticed something profound:

Certain sounds naturally resonated with specific areas of the body. The interesting thing is that the sounds resonated not because they were assigned to different organs or parts of the body, but rather because the body responded to the sounds.

The purpose of this Workshop today is to experience how your own body responds to the different sounds. The structure of the workshop is the following:

  • Part 1: Qigong practice of the 5 Element Movements to infuse each organ system with healing color
  • Part 2: Qigong meditation of experiencing each organ system with the resonant healing color. (See the table for the organ systems below).
  • Part 3:  Chanting the Six Taoist Sounds including the chant, and then the clearing whisper.  The final whisper is the integration of your whole system.
